focus timers live on the same screen as every distraction. the ritual of starting a session quietly gets lost in a swipe.

the client came with a custom board already made, so my job was the enclosure around it: the shell, the buttons and the light diffuser. a side knob sets the work interval and a top button switches screens — the pomodoro timer first, then a calendar and a to-do list. it runs off the computer it sits next to, so there is no battery to design around.

a custom design that went through several printed iterations, each one trading off between something people would want on their desk and something that still fit the board, the buttons and the light.

the client has built and sold 25 units — a real product on real desks, not a concept.
