👋 hi, i'm abraham — friends call me abri.
trained as an industrial engineer / mechanical designer, spent years designing tooling and fixtures where a bad tolerance costs thousands.
these days i split my time between freelance mechanical design and shipping side projects, something i used to only dream about until I actually started doing it.
i take hardware end to end — CAD, enclosure, electronics, firmware and the site that sells it. if you have a part, a product or an enclosure that needs designing, that's the work i do for clients.
i care about building things that are good for people and easy on the planet. not as a tagline — just as a filter for what's worth making.

closing night of the in-person program. I'm showing fred, live. free to attend.

a hands-on composting workshop I'm teaching — from your kitchen to your garden. in spanish, 6 to 7 pm, 40 seats.

the hackathon I'm helping organize with INNOVA — teams building solutions to real problems.
fruit freshness monitor that lives in your fruit bowl. it reads the gases fruit gives off as it ripens and sends you a heads-up before it goes bad, so you eat it instead of tossing it. ESP32-C3 with gas and temp/humidity sensing, plus a web dashboard. currently in presale.
enclosure design for a desk device that runs the pomodoro technique without pulling you back to your phone. designed the housing and the printed button around hardware that was already fixed — units are built and shipping.
open-source civic tech tool that brings verified accountability data directly into citizens' social media feeds. it combines a public database of mexican politicians — each scored 0–100 across five integrity dimensions — with a Chrome extension that detects politician names on any webpage and overlays their verified record in real time. built with Next.js, Supabase, Make.com, and Claude for AI-powered scoring and claim verification. built in 54 hours @hack.indies.la 2026.
ai-powered drawing review service that analyzes technical engineering drawings for GD&T compliance against ASME Y14.5-2018 and provides annotated findings, clear fix instructions for every GD&T issue, and downloadable PDF reports.
interactive map that visualizes hidden food waste data across Mexico, state by state, exposing what governments and companies underreport.
smart bin that helps you recycle your food scraps by turning them into real compost at home.
urban composting platform that makes composting easy and approachable for people living in the city.
the whole process, out loud. taking hardware from an idea to something people can buy — the CAD, the failed prints, the calibration, the parts that break. mistakes included, because those are the useful part.
I read more than I ship. What's on the desk and what's next — happy to swap recommendations.
